Dell Notebook ExplosionWe earlier reported about the Dell notebook that exploded in a Japanese convention. Apparently, it just burst into flames for no reason whatsoever, luckily no one was near the contraption when it decided to combo as a pyrotechnic device, thus no one was hurt. With that, Dell Inc. recently announced that they are going to investigate why one of its notebooks exploded into flames at a conference in Japan this week.

A spokesman for the Texas-based computer behemoth confirmed that the notebook was indeed bought from Dell, but didn't give any comments after that. The spokesman continued by saying, "we (Dell) are aware of it, and we're digging into the details...there's an investigation going on right now. When something like this happens, we want to know why." Faulty and defective notebook batteries have been known to overheat and at times explode...indeed, Dell should get to the bottom of this scenario.

» What if this happened to one of the new MacBooks?

Dell is actually admitting to fixing the problem. When Ford found out that the front A-arms on the new GT's were bad they went to every customer and replaced them for free. That is called customer service.

All Apple is doing is changing thier adds and manuals because of the MacBook's problems.
