FerrariHere comes the latest Ferrari laptop. No, this isn't like the last Ferrari laptop designed for kids...this one is for us adults to enjoy. Scuderia Ferrari Sponsor, Acer, unveils the latest dual-core notebook range to make use of "the exclusive and cutting-edge technology pioneered and perfected in the world of Formula One". Underneath both laptops' carbon fiber casing - styled in black and Ferrari red - is the latest dual-core technology.

Both are powered by AMD Turion 64 x 2 Mobile Technology and has the new 64-bit architecture. Functions on Ferrari 5000 and 1000 are managed with Acer Empowering technology. In this intuitive interface, a single touch of the Empowering Key lets users take easy control over the notebook's security, performance, settings, and communication.

The Ferrari 5000 is the best choice for all heavy application users. Packed in its 15.4" are the handy Acer VoIP Bluetooth phone and the Acer Video Conference solution that includes the Acer OrbiCam, a 1.3 megapixel webcam mounted at the top the LCD panel. It also comes complete with WLAN, WPAN with built-in Bluetooth 2.0 module, LAN connection with Gigabit Ethernet cards, and standard connectivity through the integrated 56K ITU V.92 modem. High storage capacity is abound with up to 160GB HDD and the choice between a slot-loading DVD-Super Multi double-layer drive or the next-generation HD-DVD drive. The card reader also welcomes five types of memory cards.

On the other hand, the Ferrari 1000 goes out to users who are image-sensitive. ATI RADEON XPRESS 1150 chipset, which supports up to 512 MB Hypermemory, allows the 21.1" Acer CrystalBrite widescreen display to show stunning visuals. Also has the Acer OrbiCam positioned on top of the LCD panel.

Both Ferrari laptops may come with Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition or Microsoft Windows Professional Edition. Other software installed in the laptops are Adobe Reader, Norton AntiVirus and CyberLink PowerDVD or CyberLink Power Producer, Acer GridVista and Acer Arcade Software Suite.
